Just put a thread protector on it and have it pinned and welded My suggestion to the OP is don't even bother putting one on just put a thread protector on and pin and weld it, or just get a non threaded. The pin should be long enough so that it extends beyond the muzzle device by approximately 1/2 inch Weld the pin in place. 1 inches or whatever. The permanently installed muzzle devices will bring the barrel out over 16" long. It's keyed to the barrel.
